They ask me various specific questions about the apartments and the pros and cons of renting compared to staying at a Paris hotel. Clients who often stay at hotels like having access to a concierge to answer questions or help out when needed.  They question the ability to get assistance when staying at a rented apartment, and this is a valid concern.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;There is a huge difference between renting an apartment using on of the large database agencies that are not present in Paris or renting from a small personally managed company whose staff and owners are present in Paris and available when you need them.  As a rule, when a rental website has more than 30 apartments or so, this is the sign that they are simply a central booking agency, with no personal touch, or staff present in Paris to take your phone calls when needed.  The smaller agencies who take pride in providing customer service are much more suited to those who like to feel 'taken care of' not just a client of an online agency with no follow up during your stay.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I strongly suggest that all people considering renting an apartment for their vacation, whether it be in Paris or anywhere else in the world, verify that they are dealing with people who are present in Paris and who personally manage their properties to avoid any surprises once you arrive for your sojourn.
